Coaching fees
Our coaches are qualified and committed. Every session is led by people who know the game and care about developing every player, regardless of experience level.
We are self-organised, community-run and proud of it. Everything we do is made possible by the people who believe in what we are building. Here is how you can be one of them.
Who we are
The Athenian Centaurs RFC are a self-organised club. We do not have a federation behind us, a wealthy backer, or an institutional budget. What we have is people who believe that rugby should be open to everyone, and who show up twice a week to prove it.
Every training session, every event, every time we step onto the pitch in Athens is made possible by our players, our community, and the people who choose to support us. That includes you, if you want it to.
We are Greece's first queer and inclusive rugby union club, a registered member of International Gay Rugby (IGR), and a club that has been building something real in Athens since 2020. Supporting the Centaurs means supporting all of that.
The Centaurs exist because people show up. On the pitch, at events, and in moments like this one.
Where the money goes
Running a rugby club is not cheap. Here is exactly what our players and community cover every season.
Our coaches are qualified and committed. Every session is led by people who know the game and care about developing every player, regardless of experience level.
We train twice a week at P.A.O. Rouf Soccer Field in Athens. Pitch hire is one of our biggest fixed costs and it is covered entirely by the club community.
Playing kit, training equipment, and everything players need on the pitch. Keeping the squad properly equipped is an ongoing cost that grows as the club grows.
Entry fees for IGR tournaments, travel costs, and the logistics of competing internationally as part of the global inclusive rugby community.
Open training days, women's+ sessions, Athens Pride participation, and community events. Visibility is part of our mission and it has a cost we are proud to carry.
IGR membership, insurance, website, and all the background work that keeps a properly run club operating smoothly and safely for every member.
How we cover it right now
Our players pay membership fees. We organise events and parties to raise funds for bigger goals. And our club merch, every hoodie sold and every ball shipped, goes directly back into keeping the club running. It works. But having sponsors and donors alongside us would let us do more, reach more people, and keep rugby accessible to everyone who wants to play.

We have local visibility in Athens and international reach through our IGR membership, tournament participation, and a global merch audience. Whether you are a small local business or a larger organisation with a commitment to diversity and inclusion, we would love to talk.

For individuals
Not a business but still want to help? Individual donations go directly toward keeping the club running and keeping rugby accessible to everyone who wants to play.
No amount is too small. Every contribution helps us keep training sessions affordable, keep our events free or low-cost, and keep building a space where everyone is genuinely welcome in Athens and beyond.
If you want to donate or discuss how to help, just send us a message. We will get back to you quickly and make it as straightforward as possible.
Your donation goes directly toward pitch hire, coaching, kit, and keeping the club accessible to everyone. We are transparent about where the money goes because this club belongs to its community.
